How to help at Kirrawee Gang Show in 2024.
All adults who help with the show in any way must be registered and have completed some child safety training. Therefore, we ask that you read these instructions below and begin the process now as it can take a while for the checks to be completed.
Already registered with Scouts or Guides
If you are already registered with scouts or guides as a youth member, adult helper or leader and your registration is up to date, you only need to download and submit the 2024 crew registration form.
Then we will reach out and get your details so we can set up/acess an Operoo (permissions) account on your behalf.
Not Registered with Scouts or guides
If you are not already registered we ask that you begin the process to register with Scouts NSW (yes even if your youth member is a guide).
If you have a scout youth member it may be easiest to register with your home group, by searching for their unit and registering as an adult helper.
If you do not have a home scout unit, please register as an adult helper with the Kirrawee Gang Show Scout Fellowship.
The steps to registering
Register with your unit or the KGS fellowship.
Upload your Working with Children Check (WWCC) during registration (if you do not have a WWCC this can be applied for online, but does require an in-person visit to a Service NSW Centre).
South Metropolitan Region Scouts approves your WWCC, after which you will receive an email seeking permission and information for a police check.
NSW scouts receive the results of your police check.
You are given access to the Scouts Australia Training portal and must complete 2 online learning modules, Child Safe Scouting and WHS for Scouting (less than 2 hours).
When you are approved, we can enter you in the Operoo system to receive permission for you to participate in KGS events.
We have members of the team who have experience in this process and can guide you through it. Please begin the process now and get in touch if you need support.
